Installing a car charger is not as simple as wiring it in and walking away. Don’t get caught out with sub standard installs that may leave you uninsured and struggle to sell your property. With every installation you must receive the following:
– Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC)
– Building control notice issued by your council or a competent person scheme such as NICEIC
– A connections form must be filled out and send to your local DNO upon completion
– Invoice and warranty details in teh unlikely event you have a problem
On Completion of the car charger installation a number of technical and safety tests must be carried out using specialist equipment.
If you have a looped supply or a 60A supply fuse, you may need a fuse upgrade prior to installation. We are on hand top help you through this process and can submit all the relavent forms on your behalf.
